Tender & Enduring

Tenderness is described as deep affection with sensitivity to pain. It shows concern and affection with warm compassion. We all desire this kind of love. This world can shake us up and we can find ourselves hurting and lost, longing to be held. We can easily lose endurance on the journey, bow down to defeat and miss the Voice of Love that is singing over us. My world has been rocked by God’s love through the hardest of trials. His tender love speaks with deep affection. He’s so sensitive and understands us like no other. Others might leave, but He stays through the pain and struggle. He’s faithful when we are not. When we have nothing left, He is able … Continue readingTender & Enduring

I’ve been told by my entire family that I’m an awful driver. I clip curbs. I have no sense of direction and get lost easily. That’s me. How about you? Life’s drive. It’s good to check behind us and up ahead. Looking behind though, I’m thinking it’s only good if we look to see how far the Lord has carried us. Only revisit chapters of regret and pain to be reminded that those chapters have been redeemed and restored. In the current struggle, remember God’s faithfulness thus far. He looked deep into my eyes and said, “Jesus’s blood is adequate for every sin.” Pausing at the beauty of his delivery, I responded, “Yes, it is, every single one.” There was a pause. As I returned to the pew, I sat there with my … Continue readingSurrender Your Ashes

The crowds were gathered as they forcibly pushed the woman ahead of them. They were on their way to see what Jesus had to say. After all, she had committed adultery, the sentence was stoning to death; she deserved it (Lev 20:10) Jesus heard her cries from afar and rose from where He was. The men were quick to disgrace her and announce all she had done. They waited for His reaction on how to handle her, but Jesus didn’t speak. Without words, He leaned down to the ground and began scribbling in the dirt. Their heads turned to one another, shockedby His response. Stooped over, He uttered these penetrating words: “Whoever is without sin, throw the first stone.” She … Continue readingThe Most Freeing Sound
