“Limping To The Finish”

Brace up. Reinvigorate. Strengthen your feeble, palsied and tottering knees. (Isa 35:3) One day I had the thought, “We’re all limping to the finish.” Life causes limps. We’ve all been there. Exhausted and weary. We must “encourage the exhausted and energize those who feel defeated.” (Isa 35:3) Is that you? Don’t give up. Keep on your running shoes. Stay in the race. The Father sees you and me. He’s our greatest cheerleader. He’s shown me that He doesn’t mind throwing us over His shoulder until we’re ready to run some more. He never grows tired or weary. I cried seeing this video I share today. Don’t miss it. It portrays this very thought I had and concludes; we are going … Continue reading“Limping To The Finish”

“Trustworthy Quill”

We march to the beat of our own drum until Jesus collides with our world and makes us new. We proceed in victory as we release our ways and entrust ourselves to Him completely, personally and globally. Jesus leads the triumphant procession. (2 Cor 2:14) Personally, we fail. We make choices of regret, we break the heart of God. By our words, thoughts and actions, we stumble. We pick up the pen and design our own plans without His input, and can fall into this trap as we interpret the world. Yet, God holds the quill. Written in everlasting ink is the story of the world. Written over our shame is amazing grace and mercy, “who saves a wretch like … Continue reading“Trustworthy Quill”

“Life’s Brevity”

Brevity speaks to briefness of time. Truth is, our days here are short compared to eternity. Isn’t life mysterious? Our world hard to interpret? My head can start to spin. I seek for understanding and wisdom, don’t you? My heart is struck by the Lord’s desires for us. “I desire to teach you, for truth and honesty in your inmost being.” (Psalm 51:6) He wants us so close to His heart, tucked under His wings of refuge continually. He won’t force any of this, but we’re invited. His wings depict divine protection, shelter, much like a mother bird protecting her young. “He longs to gather us under His wings.” (Matthew 23:37) He weeps at the thought that we’d not be … Continue reading“Life’s Brevity”

“Seek Shelter”

“Ask the Ancient of Days where the good way is, walk in it, and you will find rest for your soul.” (Jer 6:16) With all the traffic in our world, we need to seek shelter in the Most High with the entirety of our beings. The Ancient of Days is peering over heaven’s balcony. Run to Jesus for dear life. “He’s our granite cave, our hiding place, our high cliff nest, our only true place of safety.” (Psalms‬ ‭31‬:‭1‬-‭2‬)‭ We aren’t to trust in men, only the Almighty. He holds the whole script and all the answers. He’s closer than He’s ever been. Turn off your screens, ask the Lord to inform you. He invites us, we must call. “Call … Continue reading“Seek Shelter”
