Spring is coming, yet winter proceeds the promise.
As God’s beloved, we can be adventurously expectant. (Rom 8:15-17) We’re going to get what’s coming, an unbelievable inheritance.
As we wait for Spring, let’s remember the Lord’s loving plea to us, for our protection and our victory.
“I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what is true, to what I’ve told you, until I come.” (Rev 2:24-25)
Faith understands the truth told to us, that times could get really tough, but that Jesus has a better plan for us that far outweighs any suffering or darkness here. (2 Cor 4:17)
Be convinced of everything Jesus has said, believe wholeheartedly in “nothing.”
“I am convinced that NOTHING; neither death nor life, angels nor demons, the present nor the future, nor any powers, height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Rom 8:38-39)
Jesus will be our portal of power as we hold onto Him in the waiting.
Oh Lord, through long winters and stark seasons, form in us less tension, more conviction of the realities of Who You are and what You have promised. May we seek You with all our hearts until our burden is a deep, our grip is strong and Your song of salvation is roaring beneath the surface.
Faith knows that Spring is Coming. Spring is promised.
Oh friend,
Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth, the Author of the story of the world, Redeemer of our stories and Savior of our souls. He holds a glorious outcome for all those who will believe.
(Paraphrase Isaiah 40:28, Daniel 2:21)
My heart stirs for Spring and roars to spread His song that will never end. Jesus loves you and me. His promises are permanent. A prayer and a song of assurance from my heart to yours. Spring Is Coming By: Steven Curtis Chapman
