Faith is quiet sometimes, yet other times it roars. A balance of both promises a place of refuge.
“Jesus Himself would often slip away to the wilderness and pray in seclusion.” (Luke 5:16 ) He shows us this intricate part to living an overcoming life. I often wonder, did He speak out loud to the Father in His quiet times?
I believe He roared when confronted by the tempter in the desert. Each time He said, “It is written,” I believe it cut the air and cut the curse. (Matt 4:1-11)
As we walk by faith, may we do all the things He taught us. For temptation knocks at the door of our hearts and the scope of the battle is vast. His ways are victorious.
“It is written: “I believed; therefore I have spoken.” Since we have that same spirit of faith, we also believe and therefore speak.” (2 (2 Cor 4:13-14)
Speak in the quiet. Roar on the regular.
What promises will you/I roar today? Don’t delay. If you need a place to land, a song to sing. (“Bare Your Soul”, “Take Courage”) Observe the power as you roar His spoken promises onto the path of your life. “For no word from God will ever fail.” (Luke 1:37) Amen & Alleluia.
