Amazon delivers to our doorstep, and with the click of a button, it’s on the way. God delivered grace and mercy at the arrival of Jesus, pre-determined since the foundation of the world. At just the right time, He was on the way, He arrived.
Grace is God’s favor on the unworthy, His benevolence on the undeserving. Mercy is an attitude that moves someone to act on behalf of the unfortunate.
Jesus was delivered to our doorstep. He was moved. He acted on our behalf. “He lifted us, the poor and needy from ash heap. He promoted us. He rescued us from the garbage dump.” (Psalm 113:7) What a picture, what a Savior! He has distributed immense mercy at a high price!
This is the God we praise. This is One who called us out of darkness into light. This is One we trust and serve. This is the message we carry. We remember who we “were.” We cling to Him and to who we now are. We’ve been promoted. We now have the privilege to act on His behalf and deliver the Good News to the doorstep of others’ hearts.
As His Beloved, we are all a part of the distribution team.
