Weeping seems to be the launchpad that moves them to “go out.” I’m reminded of Jesus’ call to go scatter seed. (Matt 28:18-20) In His great mercy He’s given us living hope that can never wither, an inheritance reserved in heaven that can never perish. I’ve seen people trip over curbs, ignoring what’s right in front of them. We were not created to shuffle along, but to run and not grow weary. “Don’t give up meeting together.” God’s design is for in the flesh connection, for the purpose of pressing on. (Heb 10:25) Alone, we might forget what’s true. We might sink into hopelessness. It resets the soul when a friend looks you in the eye and reminds of your value in Christ and His compassions that never fail.
