“Blessed is the man whose strength is in You. Passing through the Valley of Weeping, they make it a place of springs.” (Psalm 84:5-7)
Resistance bands are a go to I use with my fitness class. We gain strength, stronger with each curl against the tension. How much more is life like this?
In the tensions and trials, the Lord wants us to turn to Him and let Him work in us stronger strength, more faith.
Do you feel stretched? Grow stronger.
“How enriched are they who find their strength in the Lord; when their paths wind through the dark valley of tears, they dig deep, finding pleasant pools despite their pain, increasing in victorious power.” (Psalm 84:5-7)
Stronger with each curl. Bend toward the Lord’s heart of mercy that wants our souls set firm on something much greater, Himself. His perfect power.
“Our light and momentary troubles have purpose, they are achieving for us an eternal weight of glory that far outweighs them all.” (2 Cor 4:17-18)
Consider the depths of Isaiah 55:8-9 “His ways & His thoughts are higher than ours.”
Dig deeper.
Lord, my way wants the easy route. Your way takes me through differently, holding higher purpose. I thought one thing, You taught me another. As I trust You and look to You, I gain Your strength. I’m taken to a pleasant pool of peace. Deep joy wells up as my life is rebuilt, not on my circumstances, but on You alone, my true hope and future.
Persist in confident trust under tension.
These God-ordained roads, curve up the mountain, and at the last turn—we will reach Zion! God in full view! He is our perfect strength until then. (Psalm 84:7) paraphrase
