At just the right time Jesus was born. An appointed time with an appointed purpose.
It wasn’t a last minute thought.
Can you begin to get your head around it all? Can you see it? The face of God pressed up against the floor of heaven watching a world in chaos and waiting for the perfect time to come and rescue us. To think that He had this plan already in His back pocket, since the foundation of the world, and that He had to wait, wait until the time was right. And the time was right and the angel announced it to the virgin Mary. “You will give birth to the Messiah.” (Luke 1:30-33)
And what was her response? “May it be as you have said.” (Matthew 1:38) Let that settle in ~ God‘s perfect timing to come in the flesh, the need for our rescue and Mary’s answer.
“May it be as You have said.”
It IS as He has said…but have we taken the time to let it really sink in? To get our hearts around it. There’s no time like the present. For the time is coming, nearer than it ever has been, when the King of Kings will come again.
Can you get your heart around this? “For unto us a child was born, to us a Son was given; and the government will be upon His shoulders. His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father and Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and of peace there will be no end.” (Isaiah 9:6-7)
The baby in a manger grew up as a tender shoot, and He set his face like flint and went to the cross to cover our sin and shame. He is risen and waiting. He will set His face like flint and come back and scoop up His beloved, and He will reign forever. (Isa 53:2, Gal 4:4-5)
All this time, He’s been waiting for every heart to hear the invitation and dying for every heart to receive His rescue. (2 Peter 3:9) Let us say like Mary, “May it be as You have said.” To say it with anticipation and deep joy.
Lord, every word You say is true. Your purpose was accomplished at Calvary and Your final declaration will be made known to all people when You come again. Every knee will bow when they see You. May we rejoice now and be sealed as Your beloved. May this wrap around our every thought and take up residency in our hearts. (Phil 2:10-11, Ephesians 1:13)
It WILL BE as You have said.
Take it in. Now is the time to uncover the most glorious reality that came and will come again.
JESUS.
He loves you, He loves me. He really does.
Come let us adore Him. Amen & Alleluia.

“When the right time came, God sent His Son, born of a woman, to buy freedom for us who were slaves to the law, so that He could adopt us as his very own children.” (Gal 4:4-5)
