“Expectant Wayfarers”

Posted on

Don’t lose your bold courageous faith. Don’t throw away your confidence. Stay fixed on the finish. Let your salvation be your joy day after day. Paraphrase (Hebrews 10:34-39)

Joyful expectation transforms the journey. Expectant wayfarers press on.

When we expect something, we’re looking for it.

For “the joy set before you,” endure.

Endure in Jesus, the One whose love endures forever and makes it all possible.

For “the joy set before Him,” Jesus endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the Father, opening wide our access to eternal life!

His joy?

It’s the sound of a soul saying yes to Him, taking His hand, staying the course through thick and thin, all the way to the finish, a safe landing into His everlasting arms.

Jesus is our courage and confidence. He is our strength and our security.

Are you dancing or doubting?

Stay expectant. Eyes up. This is only the preview.

Persevere on your pilgrimage.

Pilgrimage depicts the truth; we are passing through, not home just yet.

Let disappointments here move your heart toward Jesus. Press into His Word. Let His Word press into you.

His enduring presence will be our source for perseverance.

Oh Lord, it was You who led them through the wastelands. It IS You, who leads us in this dry and weary land. You empower us through all things, all the way to the other side. Amen & Alleluia.

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him.” (Romans 15:13)

Look to Jesus. Look forward. Be filled within. He’s got you & me, ALL THE WAY!

For “the joy set before you,” endure. This song escorts us in! Keep singing! XO One Day By: Jesus Country Music Group
