“After All, David’s Right”

Posted on

“Everything I did, I did right in front of you, for you saw it all. Against you, and you above all, have I sinned.” (Psalm 51:4)

After all, it ends up that these are the words that make us strong and take us to the heart of God.

These words rolled off the lips of King David, known as “a man after God’s own heart,” yet, known as an adulterer, murderer and cover up artist.

HOW CAN IT BE?

After all he had done, David was on his knees to God with sincere remorse,
repentant and sorry, honest and contrite.

After all, there is power in taking this posture. This is how we go after the heart of God.

When our greatest flaws and regrets collide with God’s amazing grace and mercy,
it leaves a deep dent on our hearts, and we are never the same.

I have a dent on my soul. WHAT ABOUT YOU? Is there one on yours?

Jesus came to rescue rebels.
Are you running wild? Are you unfulfilled? Do you doubt the love of God?

Everything is acceptable at the throne of grace. Do not fear. Bring it all.

What can you tell Him that maybe you haven’t before? Do you know fancy words aren’t necessary?

After all, the Lord receives us and gives us grace and mercy undeserved.

Be strong, come humble to the heart of God.
The best collision we’ll ever encounter, and all we bring is a contrite heart. Amen & Alleluia.

Let not your heart be troubled.
Let it be at peace.
