“I will ask the Father. He’ll give you a Helper, Comforter, Advocate, Counselor, Strengthener, to be with you forever.” (John 14:16)
Jesus had supper with them and told them all that must take place. (Matt 26:21) He declared He would suffer death, yet, assured them that He’d rise on the third day.
Though they didn’t have the capacity yet to get their heads around it all, they could see that a cloud was forming and something was coming.
On the other side of the dark cloud, they saw it play out according to His Word.
They saw Jesus risen.
Before He ascended, He promised His presence would return in full force by His Holy Spirit. The Voice of Reason would arrive, and it did.
They saw Him make good on every promise.
Though clouds form around us and our heads at times spin, we need to keep trusting and keep aiming to hear the Lord at full capacity.
We need to get our heads around the truth that certain things must take place, but something good is coming, because Jesus told us it is.
He Who promised is faithful. (Hebrews 10:23)
How’s your heart and mind as you witness our world?
The same Jesus who ascended and left their sight, is the same One who is daily with us and will descend in glory. Every knee will bow and all darkness will flee.
What is He saying to you these days?
“By My Spirit & My Word, you will see & know Me. I will love you & reveal Myself real to you.” (John 14:19-21)
Jesus invites us dwell in His presence and reason life through His living Word.
He declares, “My sheep that are My own, hear My voice, listen & follow Me. I give them eternal life. They’ll never perish; no one will ever snatch them out of My hand.” (John 10:27-28)
Take Jesus’ hand. Follow His Voice, forsake all others. His is the voice that brings peace and increasing assurance. It echoes everlasting love and eternal security. His is the hand that will lead us home.
It will all play out according to His Word.
Have you placed your life in the hand of Jesus?
It must take place. Something good is coming to all who have trusted in Him!
