“I remind you to fan into flame the gracious gift of God, the inner fire.” (2 Tim 1:6)
I don’t feel invincible, but God tells me that I am and He tells you the same.
An invincible person is someone that cannot be defeated, conquered or overcome. It suggests an overwhelming unbeatable quality tied to determination.
I become cowardice each time I bow to an unsound mind. Each time I set my gaze in the wrong place, I can become timid and fearful, defeated and dictated by worry.
It’s loud these days. The battle is real. We must be determined to set our gaze.
Jesus has delivered us, abolishing death, making it null and void and He extends to us the power to live strong and courageous.
These embers light the way to an overcoming life as they are fanned and stoked.
Paul was in prison when he wrote this reminder to us. He made the choice to keep a long range view. His mind was overtaken by Christ, sound and secure. Therefore, he sang despite what things looked like.
“For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but He’s given us a spirit of power and of love and of a sound mind, with personal discipline, yielding abilities to be calm and courageous. (2 Tim 1:7)
Keep a long range view.
“My beloved, grace, mercy, and peace, inner calm and spiritual well-being, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.” (2 Tim 1:2)
We fan the flame as we worship the Savior and trust Him. Exhale praise for what Jesus has done, count on Him for what He’s yet to do, sing despite what things look like. Even now. “For He who promised is faithful.” (Heb 10:23) What He’s Done By: Passion
