“God is pure light. You will never find even a trace of darkness in Him.” (1 John 1:5)
I keep a night-light in our hallway should I wake up in the middle of the night.
Do you find yourself waking up in the middle of these dark days, afraid?
When God speaks, light shines.
“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. He spoke to the earth; formless, empty and covered in darkness.
He hovered over the waters, saying, “Let there be light,” and there was light. He saw the light was good, and He separated the light from the darkness.” (Genesis 1:1-4)
The spirit of God is hovering over our troubled waters.
The dark can be scary, but we need not be afraid. The Lord is our light in the night.
When He speaks, confusion fades.
Will you cry out to the Lord with me?
Lord, “Let there be light,” I don’t want to miss one word You speak.
Let this light pierce your soul.
In all things we’re more than conquerors through Him who loved us. Neither death nor life, angels nor demons, present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, no nothing in all creation can separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38-39)
Lord, speak into our days with your Voice of Victory, with Your words of life that forever shine & will never fail us. Amen & Alleluia.
Separate from the dark. Stay more in His light. Listen more to His voice, less to the noise of the world.
Quiet your heart. Release your worries. Cry out these words to the One who loves and keeps us.
