“The Precious Blood Applied”

Posted on

“It was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.” (1 Peter 1:18-19)

As a young girl, the cross stumped me. It hung central in the church sanctuary, yet, such a mystery. I knew deep down I needed a rescue. I knew I was broken and flawed, but the remedy to my sin was Jesus on a cross?

“God so loved the world that He “gave” His one and only Son.” (John 3:16) Familiar, yet since then, astounding to uncover the depths of its meaning.

To give is to supply. It has the capacity to alter and freely transfer the possession of something to someone.

Blood is the only remedy to alter sin, to be forgiven and be washed white. It was instituted by God, pointing to Calvary. Lambs were to be sacrificed year after year for the sins of the people. Jesus came to lay down His life, to supply what these lambs never could, finished forgiveness. Jesus, the Lamb of God, freely “gave” His precious blood on the cross, ONCE FOR ALL, opening wide the gates of heaven and access into His holy presence now and forevermore. (Hebrews 9:22)

Only Jesus has the capacity to forgive and freely transfer the gift of eternal life. It came at a high price. It’s astounding. It’s complete.

We’re all broken and flawed. (Romans 3:23) Every heart needs this rescue.
Has His blood been applied to your heart?

Don’t miss this song. It conveys what I’m trying to say, in glorious magnificence. Glory to His name. There to our hearts was the blood applied. Glory to His name. Thank you Jesus For The Blood Applied By: Charity Gayle

Astounding. “We have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.” (Hebrews‬ ‭10‬:‭10‬) “Jesus, the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.” (John 1:29)
