“Deleted”

Consider what was deleted and what was imparted as you contemplate this Holy Week.

I hit delete and the script before me was forever gone. I couldn’t retrieve it. My heart hit my toes and I just had to accept it….What about life? What if we could delete certain chapters like this and write in newness? Our hearts can leap for joy, for Jesus came, it’s been accomplished!

Some of my deepest stains I thought He might not be able to get out, yet, they are no longer traceable! Through the sacrifice and compassion of Christ Jesus, our sins and iniquities are hurled into the depths of the sea, to never be retrieved, and we are washed white. (Micah 7:19) Have you let Him push the delete button and wash over your stained soul?

Jesus can never be deleted. His love is permanent. He’s risen and calling. Dig deep this Holy Week. Our hearts don’t have to hit our toes, they can be honest and washed over. Lay down your heaviest burdens and look up into the eyes of perfect love. Respond to this glorious exchange. It’s with a contrite whisper that we are forever changed. Fresh hope and fresh mercy offered to all who will come. Alleluia!

Jesus, it cost you everything to delete our everything. All praise belongs to you, our lives do, too.

Worship the Rock of Ages. Cling to the cross, where Jesus the Lamb was slain that we might be washed white & inherit eternal life. Hide in Him, our only access & our only hope. Lean into these lyrics. Rock of Ages By: Chris Rice

“Jesus canceled out every legal violation we had on our record, the old arrest warrant that stood to indict us. He erased it all—our sins, our stained soul—He deleted it all, they cannot be retrieved! Everything we once were in Adam has been placed onto His cross and nailed permanently there as a public display of cancellation.” (Colossians‬ ‭2‬:‭14‬)
