“If two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.
(Ecclesiastes 4:11-15)

This verse gets me. It starts out with two but concludes with three. Here, the operative word is a “strand,” but I thought of a “thread,” the one that runs through all of our lives, weakness.

So where does the third one come in on to the scene? It’s Jesus, the power to hold us together!

We are all a strand, a thread of weakness.
Twisted on the inside. We need each other and we all need Jesus.

Lord, alone we get cold and weary. Together we can lay out Your promises and be reminded that You hold us together. We break easily and need Your power to keep us. Thank you that You hold us fast.
May we quickly come to You in all our twisted-ness on the inside. Amen.

How are you friend? Together we will make it. Share your heart. Message me. I’d be privileged to pray for you.

““And Jesus said, “Surely I am with you til the end.”” (Matthew 28:20)
(I am your strength in weakness and won’t let you go. I mean it.)
