Christmas Sparks Joy, Invites Hope

Christmas for me surfaces a mix of emotion. Joy bubbles up big time, yet suffering places also seem to surface in magnitude, maybe not outwardly, but deep down I feel them. Do you know what I mean? Behind our family picture, I rejoice big time! But don’t be fooled, there’s no perfect family. I acknowledge the bumps of struggle, celebrate the deep love that has been sown in hard places; all the victories and all the heartfelt memories that can’t be taken. Gramma Got Run Over?

Poor grandma, she got run over by a reindeer? Who came up with this song? I’ve never been run over by a reindeer, but I’ve been run over by the world; some heartbreaks & some real disappointments. I know I am not alone. Grandpa & Grandma believed in reindeer. I believe we’ve all been run over! The ONE conceived by the Virgin Mary mends our hurts and will never run us over or let us down. It was on a silent and holy night. “Silent Night, Holy … Continue readingIt Was On a Silent Holy Night

Misty Morning Thanksgiving Song

He who looks with compassion on all our ruins, whose redemption waters pour over our wastelands and deserts. The One who places a crown of salvation on our unworthy heads. With us on the mountaintops and in the valleys, our escort to the shores of eternity. Forever faithful … Continue readingMisty Morning Thanksgiving Song
