“Let the peace of Christ rule.” (Col 3:15)
What are you thinking on right now? I am thinking on the power of a sound mind.
Sound is defined as an auditory impression, based on good judgment, thorough knowledge, and valid reasoning. Our auditory systems are on overload. We need an umpire.
Can I get a witness?
What if we consistently invited the Lord to increase our hearing, to align us to His Voice of Truth, His providential will and sovereignty?
Providential isn’t aloof, but it’s the truth that God is actively involved in everything; in our lives and in the world. Pursuing us to draw us close, to tell us the Truth, to inform our thoughts and clear our vision.
Let Him umpire and uplift you.
“Indeed, to this peace you were called as His beloved. Let Christ Jesus settle disputes, and make decisions in your heart and mind.” (Col 3:15)
Let Him.
Even now, He is seated in authority. Umpiring this moment to settle our souls.
Friend, He hasn’t given us a spirit of fear, a sound mind is our inheritance.
Have you ever thought of it this way?
Need more? I keep this song on replay. It’s a prayer, a proclamation. A chance to hit pause. Deep lyrics. Deeply moving. Five minutes of pure soul reset. A Sound Mind By: Melissa Helser (Whatever you do, invite The Umpire into the territory.)
Glory, Alleluia. Jesus reigns. May He reign & rule in the territory of our minds. Sound and sure are His promises. Valid and victorious.
