Jesus gathered up His courage, steeled His heart & mind for the journey, and headed for Jerusalem with one mission in mind. (Luke 9:51)
Orienting His face firmly in this specified direction with unyielding determination, He set out, He didn’t bow out. He saw to the other side. “In light of eternity,” Jesus stepped into the darkness we deserved and conquered the grave. He’s rich in mercy.
As our world unravels, as we walk through valleys, we must “steel our hearts & minds,” like Jesus. Be courageous, sing of His mission accomplished and trust Him at all cost.
Don’t bow out. Jesus will never bow out on us.
We must view our “short-lived troubles” in the light of eternity. Keep ascending toward “Jerusalem.” Press on by faith. Keep the “light on” that tells us something far better awaits. We have a hope that can never diminish. We must rejoice and look to Jesus, waiting expectantly. He’s taught me through my darkest dips and hardest trials, to do this with ever-increasing vigor. The outcome of praise is joy despite our lot and courage to stay the course, knowing the hard parts of the journey are short compared to the glory that awaits.
Steel your heart, make it your mission to trust Jesus and be courageous.

For what is seen is temporary and fleeting, but the unseen realm is everlasting and imperishable.” (2 Corinthians 4:17-18)
Lord, thank You for Your example, Your mission accomplished and Your relentless love and strength for all the climbs until we see You. Amen & Alleluia.
