“Ask The Waves”

Posted on

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.”(Hebrews 13:8)

Watching the waves roll onto the shore one morning, I heard them speak the truth we all need to hear. God is still in control. God is still the same. He holds the future. He has accomplished our salvation and our souls can rest.

Just ask the waves.

I thought of the disciples who panicked out on the lake in a furious storm and how Jesus was resting “in the boat with them.” Their reply was fear, His was, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” He got up, rebuked the wind and waves and it was completely calm. (Matthew 8:26)

I heard the waves cry out, “Be still and know that I am God,” with you through it all, in the storms and in the calm. I’ll accomplish a flourishing finish in you and in the world. Just keep your eyes fixed on Me and know I never change my mind about you. I’ve got everything covered.

Just ask the waves.

As you wrestle with what you see and feel, trust more in His forever hand that holds you. His love is constant.

“All is laid bare before the eyes of the Lord.” (Hebrews 4:13) Don’t panic. He’s in the boat, in the story, on the throne. He doesn’t break any promise. Faithful and True is His name. He’s with you and me. Forever for us.

How can you draw near to Him today?

Thank you, Lord, that You never change. Amen & Alleluia. May His peace and promise crash over you. This song might help.
