Let The Son Set

I watched the sun slip down over the horizon. It made me think about the world, how it turns, and we forget. We forget, that God is in control of the world that is spinning. Everything we watch on the news, He’s not surprised. Everything that comes into our lives, He’s not surprised by that either. The world is spinning out of control. BUT GOD holds it all and we must cling to the truth that it’s all in harmony with “His story.” Through all time, He’s been clear that He knows the beginning from the end. He never slumbers and everything that He said will come to fruition.

Nails went through His hands, proving He’s trustworthy. He cries out for us to be held tight by Him.

Let the Son set in your soul.

When you start to slip into fear, let it instead lead you to Jesus. I’ve learned on the journey that He’s our only solid Hope. He warned for us to keep looking up. To look intently to Him. He assured us that He would be with us always, even to the end of the age. (Matthew 28:20) Where are we in the storyline?

How’s your heart? Let faith arise. As we consider the news on our screens; let’s shift our gaze to the Best News, Jesus, Who has overcome the world, Who came in the flesh to invade our stories and to seal our eternal future. He wants this to come to fruition most of all.

Lord, come into our hearts and minds. Teach us day by day. Enfold us in Your understanding. Your ultimate plan is to win our hearts. We praise You for Your fast grip and persistent pursuit on us. Amen & Alleluia.
