Walk On Water

Hope in Jesus is certain. It’s out of this world. It’s past the waves. It crashes onto the shores of eternity. Walk on the water.

Are you feeling fragile? Are you shattered over something? Maybe the world around you or the world inside you? I’m not sure, but I know that God is all about mending the broken and upholding the weak. How He longs to input confident trust in our souls that whispers, “It’s going to be alright. I got you.”

Life is filled with foaming waves. Storms that don’t seem to quit sometimes. I’m reminded of Peter. Do you know the story? He got out of the boat in the storm and stepped foot onto the waves. He trusted the Lord would uphold Him despite it. He set His eyes on Jesus and walked on the waves. Only when he shifted his gaze to the storm did he begin to sink.

We must continually look beyond what’s in front of us. Past the waves, to Jesus, and hear His voice that says, “Take courage, it is I. Do not be afraid.” Life is fragile. Waves foam. Storms come. But through Christ Jesus, we can step out. He will help us through. Take heart. He’s our constant. He’s a firm anchor for our souls. He won’t let us sink. What waves are you up against? Trust the Lord with me, more than ever. He’s got us.

“Jesus spoke to them, (speaks to us) saying, “Take heart; it is I. Do not be afraid.” He said, “Come.” So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water and came to Jesus.” (Matthew 14:27, 29)

“We have this certain hope like a strong, unbreakable anchor holding our souls to God himself. Our anchor of hope is fastened to the mercy seat in the heavenly realm beyond the sacred threshold, and where Jesus, our forerunner, has gone in before us. (Hebrews‬ ‭6‬:‭19‬-‭20‬ )
