“Run the race marked out for you, fixing your eyes on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of your faith.”
(Hebrews 12:1)
I heard heavy breathing behind me and steady jogging feet. The runner reached my side. It was obvious, he was so worn out. I looked at him and said, “You got this!” Can I say the same to you? In this race called life, we all get worn out. We need to be cheering each other on.
We are all limping to the finish. It’s not a sprint, it’s a steady pace. There are days I need you to tell me to keep running and other days where I can cheer for you to not give up. Not sure what today is, but I’m sure we’re all running toward something. We need to keep our eyes up and keep heading toward Jesus, our ultimate destination. Keep going. “You got this!”
How can you run today with intention? What things do you need to drop to keep going? To add to keep up your endurance? I am thinking on it too. Eyes up!
Oh Lord, each race different, but the end goal is “You.” Assist us to stay on course until we fall in Your arms and see you face to face. Praise you, our greatest cheerleader. Amen & Alleluia.
