“I Doubt It”

Posted on

After Jesus rose, “He showed up to the disciples and stood among them, showing them His hands and His side. He said to them, “Peace be with you, and with that, He breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit.”” (John 20:19-23) He later assured them before His ascension that His Spirit would remain as their Counselor and Keeper all their days. That He’d walk with them every step of the way.

He promises the more we seek His kingdom, the more His kingdom will come in us. That includes His resurrection power and confident assurance in the cross and our forgiveness with a deep down sense of who we really are; accepted and beloved, forgiven and sealed for heaven.

BUT we all doubt. Just like Thomas. Whether we doubt that He’s risen or doubt His love, power and presence. He shows up when we seek Him and admit our heart place. “You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.” (Jeremiah‬ ‭29‬:‭13‬) A man uttered, “I believe, please help my unbelief.” (Mark 9:23-24 ) Jesus heard and responded. Jesus hears our hearts and He will help us to believe. By the breath of His Holy Spirit He will open our eyes and keep our hearts secure.

I pondered it more. Click here or on the picture. Jesus really does accept our doubts and questions.

“The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord.” He wants us to see Him. He wants this same joy and peace for us. HE WILL SHOW UP! Amen & Alleluia.
