“Temptation is written into all of our days, but God’s word is written over them all for us to overcome.”
“All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.”(Psalm 139:16) Contemplating all my days, I can become baffled. How about you? But what if we look at it differently? That in “all our days,” God has ordained His spirit to move among us and in us, to chase us down, to hold us up and to capture our hearts with the Truth.
Jesus was tempted in the garden, just as we are tempted in this life. The battle is real and the weapon remains the same. We take Jesus’ lead and we fight back with the sword of His Word. (Matthew 4:4-6, Ephesians 6:17) It is written, “God so loved the world that He gave His one and only son for me.” It is written, “I am more than an overcomer.” It is written, “I am loved with an everlasting love.” “It is Finished.” “Jesus overcame the grave and lives in me.” (John 3:16, Romans 8:37, Jeremiah 31:3, John 19:30, Romans 4:25)
We need to read the right script and use it like Jesus did. His love is written in permanence. His eternal covenant is secure. His purpose is fixed to prove His power, His presence, and His deliverance. Amen & Alleluia!
(PS You know, the truth unleashed out loud adds power. Jesus overcame by speaking. We do as well. Was thinking aloud. LISTEN. Click link or picture below.
I always think of people that haven’t heard of Jesus and those that have but do not believe. It’s on our shoulders to try to reach these people and that’s what you’re doing Lori for sure. You will see our Lord one day, Lori, when His plan for you comes to fruition.
Your words hit my heart deeply.
