“I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in His Word I put my hope.”
(Psalm 130:5)
I love this verse. David is waiting, but it’s how; with every fiber of his being. With his all, in his all. (Luke 10:27) And it’s where He is placing his hope; in God’s Holy Word; the only infallible words ever spoken.
What if we took his lead in our waiting? What if we remember that Jesus, at this very second, is fighting for you and me in prayer? (Romans 8:34) He is praying for us to not trust in our feelings or what we see, but to trust that He is for us and with us AT ALL TIMES; In the waiting, above the noise and chaos of the world and in our circumstances, above it all. With an undying love Jesus is behind the scenes pleading for us to come and find rest in Him, lift our eyes to Him and put our trust and hope in Him. Wherever we find ourselves.
As we wait, as we journey this life, let’s wait with every fiber of our beings anchored in our only real Hope. The Savior is praying that we will.
Lord, life is full of waiting and full of feelings that invade and try to hold us captive. They try to steal the show. Help us to embrace the truth of who we are – loved, wanted and prayed for. Help us put our hope more in You than what we see. We are whole when we look to You. Living Hope—steal the show, steal our hearts. Amen & Alleluia.
