Letting Go

Posted on

Do you think that daily we have to let go in order to receive what the Lord wants to extend? Is open-handedness the key? Are we to let Him continually examine our thoughts so He can uproot what doesn’t belong? To input what’s true? To keep us standing firm and walking in the joy of our salvation? Psalms 139:23 speaks to letting go and inviting the Lord’s searching gaze to come into our hearts. To welcome Him to examine us through and through, to find the hidden things that are hindering our lives, to sift through all our anxious cares.

I WONDER? How can we better open our hearts and minds? Don’t we all want to live in His glorious everlasting ways? Sifting sounds painful, but necessary to deliver us into life. Will we invite His gaze?

The Lord proclaims that this is the path that leads us and keeps us glued to Him and let’s the song of salvation rise up in us.

Oh Lord, You examine us to love us best and to give us Your best. Help us be willing to let go more and cling to You most. Let Your song rise up and reign in us. Alleluia.

“Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and sift through my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me and lead me in the way everlasting.” (Psalms‬ ‭139:23-24‬)
