Have you ever thought about how every day, when we write the year, it’s a reminder before our very eyes that Jesus Christ changed the whole world? The calendar, it changed when Jesus entered the scene. God holds the whole calendar. He knew when Jesus would arrive the first time and He knows the day of His return.
2023! It’s been a long time since He left. He came so quietly the first time, you know? Do you think it’s because He didn’t want to force Himself on us? That He wanted us to really love Him, to choose to love Him? Forced love is not love at all. To think that He chose to love us and die for us before we even thought to love Him! Can you even fathom a love so great?
We have always been on His calendar. Is He on ours?
He holds the keys to forever and the keys to unlock our hearts. He’s dying to break in more and more with each passing day so that when He returns He won’t blink when He sees us, but welcome us as His beloved, known as His.
Let every heart prepare Him room.
May God bless you richly in the new year with an increasing measure of His presence and peace as you draw near to Him.
