Are We Reachable?

Posted on

I placed my phone on the charger and closed the door behind me. Aww. When’s the last time you left yours behind? Our cell phones are our constant companions. Did you know on average Americans check their phones 344 times/day? That’s once every 4 minutes! How many times do they interrupt our companionship with the Lord?

What messages pop up on our screens? What news? It all comes at us at an alarming rate! Yet, what’s most alarming is to think that we’d entrust ourselves to these messages more than to the voice of God, the real news. Are we reachable to hear the truth?

Being unreachable gives the Lord more opportunity to reach us.

DO YOU EVER THINK ABOUT IT?
The prince of this world is tagged as the “prince of the air.” (Ephesians 2:2) It makes me consider how he might be using the air waves to access my heart and steal my time and joy. Do you agree we should be on guard? How can you/we be more reachable?

Lord, may we reach for You most. Constant companionship with You is Your heart for us. It’s really what we crave too.

“You “used” to follow the ways of this world and the prince of the air, but God, great in love and rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ—it is by grace you have been saved.” (Ephesians‬ ‭2:2-5‬)
(By grace He continually calls to reach us with the truth, through His Word & in quietness.)
