Waiting On Wisdom

Posted on

“If you wait at wisdom’s doorway, longing to hear a word for every day,
joy will break forth within you as you listen for what I’ll say.” (Proverbs 8:34)

I stood at my daughter’s bedroom doorway, leaning against the frame. I was listening intently. As she spilled out her heart, I tried to offer back wisdom and love. I hoped I had said the right thing.

I’ve been waiting on wisdom. Have you? Falling upon this verse, and listening intently, the Lord told me more.

I see you waiting on Me. You are in the right place. Stay close to My Word. Keep knocking and seeking. Lean into the mystery. I’ll reveal more and more as you do. If you wait at wisdom’s doorway, I’ll deliver enough for the day and I’ll do the same tomorrow.
Trust me one day at a time.

Lean into the mystery? It’s clear we often won’t understand, BUT GOD fully does, and in His wisdom, He waits for us to come seek His. He never fails to offer the right word. Day by day.

ARE YOU STANDING AT THE DOOR?
Are you knocking? Eagerly waiting? Looking for answers? We are promised that He’ll bring a word to sustain us as we seek Him. This is the abundance of His presence.

“For the fountain of life pours into you every time that you find Me, and this is the secret of growing in the delight and the favor of the Lord.” (Proverbs‬ ‭8:34-35‬)
