Proven, Again

Posted on

“God’s way is perfect. All the Lord’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to Him for protection. His faithfulness continues through all generations.” (Psalm 18:30, 119:90)

Our history with the Lord can strengthen us in the present to keep entrusting ourselves to Him. Look back only to gain strength and know He will “do it again.” We will rise. Do you need to rise like me? Do you need to be lifted up? He unveils His faithfulness in the valley, proving He is who He says He is.

What are you doing Lord? I don’t like it here. Is it ok to ask, to wrestle aloud? There’s a resounding yes opening to the psalms. It’s always undergirded by the repeated promises in His unfailing word that will never die. One promise after another is laid out. Again and again He will remind us, show us and buoy us.

WHAT’S YOUR HISTORY?
Has your past been redeemed? What’s your present? Are you undone by pain? Are you in the valley? Don’t lose hope. He’ll “do it again.” He’ll prove it. It’s ok to ask Him. He will never leave you. Never leave me. He will pick us up. We will rise.

Lord, through the ages You have proven Your faithfulness and You are able to prove it to us, wherever life finds us. Write in Your astounding love and mercy over all our chapters again and again. Alleluia you lift us up. You are the First, the Last and everything in between. Proven and able. We look to You.
