Changing Seasons

Posted on

“For everything there is a season, a time for every matter under heaven.” (Ecclesiastes 3:1)

Do you ever think on how the very life of nature speaks to our experience? Just watch a tree shed its leaves or a spring flower break into bloom. Witness the icy snow fall to the hard ground and the sun rise to melt it. Branches once full, then bare and empty. Hearts of fire, then cold and icy. The seasons of nature and life speak in harmony. The Beatles sung about it. To everything (turn, turn, turn) There is a season (turn, turn, turn) And a time to every purpose under heaven.

Every season holds purpose under heaven? What if the purpose is….That our hearts will melt and fall into God’s arms of grace and mercy without hesitation? That wherever we find ourselves, it matters most to the Lord that we’d hear His voice of love and find Him? He says, “TODAY, if you hear My voice, don’t harden your heart.” (Open it! Let Me love you in this place!) (Hebrews 3:15)

WHAT SEASON ARE YOU IN?
Are you cold and icy? Blooming or bare? Have you answered Yes to God’s voice of love demonstrated at Calvary? Do you hear His voice today that says, “Never will I leave you”? The leaves are changing outside, our world is changing. Hear His voice of love, TODAY, yes, TODAY!

Oh Lord, soften our hearts that we might hear Your voice more, opening ourselves to the abundant life You died to give us. In all seasons, You are the life we long for. At this very moment Your voice is speaking. Help us trust and understand You more. Amen & Alleluia.
