The Great Physician

Of all our ailments in life, our heart condition is the place we need the most healing.

I love how the Lord never tires of our neediness. We can carry our burdens over and over to the Physician of our souls. Do you know Him by this name? Jesus spoke up about it when He said, “Healthy people don’t need to see a doctor, but the sick will go for treatment.” Now go and learn what this means. For I have come not to call the righteous. I’ve come to invite the outcasts, the sinners, not those who think they are already on the right path.” (Matthew 9:12-13)

Jesus spoke up one more time to confirm his best healing. “Which is easier: to say, “You are healed,” or to say, “Your sins are forgiven”? (Matthew 9:5) The Great physician suffered much in order to say to us “Your sins are forgiven.” It cost Jesus so much more to heal us soul deep. The kind that will last forever. Again & again I am filled with so much gratitude. He loves the lame! That’s me and you!

I love that He spoke up, not only to confirm our condition but to speak loud and clear that He is the remedy. Physical healing might happen, but spiritual healing is offered today and ongoing through Christ Jesus and it’s guaranteed.

I have to make daily sick visits. I am in great need of the Great Physician. My mind to be restored. My heart to be shifted. My soul to be put at peace.

Have you received the healing that carries over to eternity? What does your heart need today?
There’s no wait to meet with Him. A whisper will to. Just His name, “Jesus.” Again & again He longs for us to make visits and be held in His healing arms. We need His help in the daily, on the daily and for eternal rest. Jesus is the remedy. His Word is the medicine. His balm is His eternal unchanging love, and visits aren’t limited to a certain number.

Lord, heal us daily that we might walk in more abundant life and with confidence in Your unchanging love for us that confirms we are secure today, tomorrow and forever. Praise you for the price you paid to afford us this healing. Amen & Alleluia.
