There’s a peace we can live in, but I’m finding I have to intentionally pursue it until it resides. It doesn’t happen casually. It happens intentionally.
Peace was here in full color just yesterday, but it seems dim today. Where’d I go wrong? How will I get it back? How are you in the peace category? I’m realigning my heart, right now ~ I wonder if you need to as well? So here it goes, this is how we do it. Come honestly and cry out without restraint. Maybe exposing pieces of my heart cry can assist you in your heart place too.
Lord, every piece of us wants to strive and work, to try to control our circumstances to find peace. Yet, every piece of You wants to refute that and to wean us from that approach. Your whisper is roaring. Help us to wean ourselves from our own understanding and wisdom and all the distractedness of the world. To wean ourselves from our own strength, which is the void of the strength we truly need. Help us come lay upon Your chest and surrender to Your control. Calm and quiet us as we put our hope in You and not ourselves or anything else. Wean us, bringing peace, soul deep. Thank You that You offer it and desire it for us. Forgive us and restore us. Praise You now and forever.
“Lord, my heart is not proud. I don’t concern myself with matters too great or too awesome for me to grasp. (I wean myself, You are in control) I have calmed and quieted myself, like a weaned child who rests on its mother’s lap. Yes, like a weaned child is my soul within me. O people of God, your time has come to quietly trust, put your hope in the Lord— now and forever.” (Psalm 131:1-3)
Do you need fresh peace? Do you relate to my heart cries? Will you be weaned with me?
Help us hush our hearts and hear Yours more, Lord. You are the only living Hope there is & You are the peace that passes understanding. Now & always, it’s the right time to trust You more.
The Lord bless you and keep you in His peace. He is able. He has all matters under control. Now & forever.
