At The Finish

Posted on

Do you ever picture Jesus at the finish? Do you try to lean in to hear Him cheering for you? Do you picture crossing over? I see myself falling into His arms at the finish. Some days He seems in closer view than others. Are you with me on any or all of this? Our lives are described as a race. This gives us vision for the journey. The cheers of the Savior instill endurance, the vision of Him at the finish gives us the will to keep going. Do you agree?

I love the promise that through faith in Christ we have “already”crossed over from death to life.

Hear Him cheer: “I tell you the truth, whoever hears My word and believes him who sent Me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life.” “Do not be discouraged, for I am with you wherever you go.” (John 5:24, Joshua 1:9) Condemnation tries to butt in and have us turn in our running shoes. Don’t let it. Jesus cheers for us to lace up our shoes and keep going. (I am cheering for you.)

He’s ever present. He’s at the finish. He will help us go the distance. The finish isn’t the finale, it’s a new beginning. Eternal life awaits. Oh Lord, it is true. Amen & Alleluia.
