At The Edge

Unto us a child was born. He is sovereign over life and holds the keys to eternity.

Have you ever stood at the water’s edge and thought to yourself, “I could not begin to stop these rolling waves if I tried.”? Last I stood on the shore I had this thought and I bowed my heart to the only One who can. As I paused and took a deep breath, the Lord reminded me to let go and entrust myself to His sovereignty. That He is seated on the throne, above it all, and my greatest need is already met. I exhaled once more.

Did you know Jesus is “seated” on the throne? This indicates that His work is complete. “It is finished!”(John 19:30) Have you come to the edge and bowed and surrendered to Jesus? It’s the great exchange.

Of all the waves that come up on our journey, through Jesus Christ, the battle is won, the biggest work is finished on our behalf and He will escort us to the heavenly shores.

Bow your heart with me to the One who is really in control and rest with me in His promise. Take a deep breath and entrust yourself now and again and again. Exhale.

“For as high as the heavens are above the earth, that is how vast His mercy is toward those who fear Him. As far as the east is from the west so far has He removed our transgressions.” (He is sovereign over death, over our greatest ripples and undertoes. He will keep us afloat and carry us home.) (Psalm 103:11-12)

Praise you Jesus, it is true. Amen & Alleluia.

Jesus said, “It is finished.” With that, He bowed his head and gave up His spirit. (John 19:30)
